Mercury stations direct on May 30 in Taurus, and enters Gemini, which it rules, on June 13 very near to where it went retrograde three weeks ago. On June 7, the full moon in Sagittarius affords an excellent opportunity for spiritual insight. By mid June, we should be moving full speed ahead, with lots of ideas and much communication about things we've been considering, perhaps about matters we put on hold in early May.
On May 31, Mars moved into Taurus for a several week visit, enhancing our sensuality, as well as love of the land and natural beauty around us. Active people may find it difficult to slow down and smell the roses, but a week later when Venus also enters Taurus, one of the signs she rules, we will find ourselves much more relaxed. Time for love! Time to enjoy! Kick back a bit, summer will be here on June 20!
Jupiter stations retrograde on June 15, drawing our attention inward. More emphasis on exploring metaphysics, psychology, higher education, spirituality, or even philosophy, if that's a part of your inner world. Buy a book you've wanted to read or pull out that marvelous one on Wiccan, ascension or 2012 that you've been meaning to absorb. Speaking of spirituality, Neptune also went retrograde recently (on May 28--with both Jupiter and Neptune appearing to move backwards, we're likely to feel spiritually inward for the next several months….
This brings us to one of the long term happenings of 2009. Late in May, lasting the entire month of June, Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron are within a degree of each other in Aquarius. Neptune, planet of the collective unconscious; Jupiter the most expansive planet in the solar system; and Chiron, the healing planetoid, will be together for most of the year. Our consciousness is expanding, healing and changing; we will never be the same.
Of course, life is never a free ride. For some time, we've been experiencing an on-going global shift with the long term opposition of Saturn and Uranus offset by the healing combination of Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron. Our world is changing; we are transforming as well. I look for positive change, but realistically know that adjustments are inevitable and sometimes painful.
When Summer Solstice occurs on June 20/21, the Sun in Cancer will be in a very favorable connection to the Neptune/Chiron/Jupiter conjunction. By then, all of us should be ready to move ahead with new plans and projects.
